Baptism Sunday: New Believers Take the Plunge

The water was cold, but the hearts were warm. Last Sunday, twelve men and women from every walk of life stepped into the baptismal pool and declared that Jesus has changed everything.

Among them was Marcus, a father of three who spent six years in prison before finding hope through our recovery ministry. 'I went under the old me,' he said, 'and came up somebody new.'

Sarah, a college student who started attending our young adults group last fall, was there too. 'I grew up going to church,' she told us, 'but I never made the faith my own until now.'

Each story is different. Each one is real. And each one reminds us why we do what we do.
