Anchored in Grace: A Lent Reflection
Lent is less about giving something up and more about making room — the kind of room only grace can fill.
Every Lent I try to "give something up," and every Lent I realize the point was never the fast — it was the making room. Room for silence. Room for slowness. Room for the Gospel to land again as if for the first time.
Grace fills the empty places
So this season, I'm not starting with what I'll give up. I'm starting with what I'll let God fill — the hurried morning, the scrolling hour, the worried afternoon. Grace is always waiting at the threshold of those empty places.
